Singles Rejoyce: Discover Great Expectations to Live by

You couldn’t describe me as pleasantly satisfied being picky and remain an honest woman. But, I’m not unhappy about it, either. I merely suggest it here as an appetizing little tidbit foreshadowing what I am prepared to reveal to you

This time last week I was walking the dog, Stacey, considering buying a membership to a Dallas Singles dating service. Now, I type to my readers as a surprisingly pleased member of the dating service. For real, it’s true. It’s full of fun, attractive people! If you have read my old blog, you’re probably thinking, “You totally owe me an explanation.”

So, I saw this Great Expectations Dating site and liked what I saw. They’re for the honest singles who care enough to know dating doesn’t have to be so frivolous and stupid.

Because I’d never been a fan of the ridiculous nightlife ritual serial daters (ie: everyone I know) have named “The Dating Experience.” I heard it more than anyone should. Every night friends ask, “Are you seeing somebody?” and “Oh I know just the guy for you!”

“That’s rubbish,” I banter right back, without missing a beat. “There’s nothing to date!”

“Don’t be silly,” they deadpan. “You have no way to know that!”

That’s just my best friend (on a good day) hah! Stacey McCarthy. She sets common sense to my mind to put me back on course. People I depend on . She made a good point, so I signed up.

Returning to the message of this blog entry. As I selected from more than three hundred combinations of outfits for my first date with Great Expectations, something occurred to me that was quite honest. For years, I hadn’t held the greatest of emotional great expectations for dating in the adventurous winding course of life. Being single isn’t so bad, especially if you take the opportunity to meet new people. Embracing your own great expectations works terrifically for a caring soul.
