Tennis Partners Joining You on the Courts

The Tennis League Network leads a collection of city based websites where we connect participants on the tennis courts.

Here are some of the cities in our network:
Orlando Tennis, Baltimore Tennis, Santa Clara Tennis

Our playoffs Work after every season.

How do the Playoffs Play?
At league end all qualifiers who have won the set number of matches as set by the league report web page will have qualified for the single elimination tournament to crown a winner.

Tourney are Skill Level Based
The brackets could have a bunch of participants in it that you have never competed against before. Also participants who got wins from another skill level still qualify for the playoffs of the current division they are in. (* see below for a more detailed explanation)

Seedings & Brackets
We present all the participants on the League report pages. League Rule #10 is used to shape the brackets:
Rule #10) Playoff Positioning
Regular season ties are broken by this order:
1) Overall Record, based on tennis matches over .500. 6-1 is 5 tennis matches over, 8-2 is 6 matches over and would be better.
2) In season Head-to-Head record for players tied after #1
3) We promote players playing matches, so 6-1 would be better than 5-0.
4) Percentage of games won

Anywhere from 2 to 50 players can qualify for the tourney. The brackets will be made based upon the # of players.

Scheduling & Deadlines
The scheduling of the matches follows the same arrangement as the league as we really want the players to agree on a mutual time and location to play. We do have a rule where the higher seed does have choice of home court. Also the higher seed has choice of serve or side to start the playoff match.

Prize Pool & National Tournament
Once a winner has been crowned we use the prize pool to honor the players of the playoffs. The prize pool is based upon the total # of players in the division of the tourney.

* Some players get promoted mid-league from a lower skill level. The league has determined these players should not be penalized so the record they have obtained at the lower level will still count towards the win total needed to qualify for the playoffs.
